After accomplishing this part Fundamentals of Ethics the student will be able to gain a comprehensive understanding of the basic principles and theories of ethics.

Professional Ethics
After accomplishing this part Professional Ethics the student will be able to
– Understand the importance of safety in ethical decision-making. Learn how to identify and manage ethical risks, and how to apply ethical principles in a safe and responsible manner.
– Examine the role of the ethical climate in organizations and society. Understand how it influences behavior and decision-making and learn strategies to foster a positive ethical climate.
– Learn about the concept of moral distress and its impact on individuals and organizations. Understand its causes, effects, and ways to manage it effectively.

Ethics in practice – video
This scenario is taking place at a ward at the Department of Infectious Diseases during the spring term of 2023 which is considered a post-pandemic era regarding COVID-19. There are still patients with COVID-19, but the situation is very different from the beginning of the COVID-19 pandemic.
We now know a lot about the virus, how the COVID-19 infection can be treated in different patient groups and about the personal protection for the healthcare staff. However, a huge challenge for the healthcare staff is to be updated and informed about the latest evidence and how it should be applied in patient care.
