Ethical coffee rooms
Welcome to Ethical Coffee Room (ECR)! ECR is a digital meeting place where students, teachers and professionals can reflect on and discuss ethics. The best way to work in ECR is working in a group with 5-6 students and one teacher / facilitator.
Learnings objectives:
- To identify and describe ethical issues focusing on ethical safety, moral distress, and ethical environment.
- To apply ethical concepts and theories concerning ethical issues.
- To reflect on and discuss ethical issues and suggest different ways of handling them.
Guidelines:
You are expected to comment and discuss the cases presented during each week. Each participant should create one discussion and one reply to another group members. Kindly avoid commenting on the same student post. Your teacher / facilitator will review and provide comments at the end of each week 🙂
- Read the written scenario carefully
- Post your thoughts and reflections based on ethical concepts and/or theories.
- Describe ethical issue/s, is it a problem and why, and how can it be handled.
- Argue for your choices applying the ethics theories and/or concepts.
- Reflect on and reply to others’ comments, argue for you point of views.
